Chinese Firm Launches World’s First Template-Free Intelligent Sewing Platform

Shanghai, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) — Chinese enterprise HIKARI Fushan unveiled the world’s first template-free intelligent sewing platform, named “H1 85250”, at a new product conference in Shanghai in 2026, marking a leap forward in China’s high-end garment intelligent manufacturing sector.
After nine years of technological research, the independently developed equipment abandons the reliance on acrylic templates, which have long caused resource waste and environmental burden in the global garment
industry — traditional template machines cost over 10 million US dollars annually in template consumption worldwide. The new platform integrates cutting-edge technologies to automatically identify and adapt to different fabrics and processes, greatly improving production efficiency and reducing labor and material waste. It is expected to hit the market in the first half of 2026 and has attracted strong interest from international garment brands.
Industry experts note that this breakthrough redefines intelligent sewing technology, promoting green manufacturing in the global textile industry and enhancing China’s competitiveness in high-end textile machinery.
